John is looking at one of the first grafts he did at Buffalo on a Pakham’s Pear tree. This was a scion taken from his family’s property at Netherwood in San Remo. The tree was probably planted in the mid to late 1800’s. As yet we don’t know what type of pear it will be, but the graft is looking healthy and in a few years we should see some pears growing on this tree from this graft
